Branding has always been an elusive thing to me. I know when a company or group has strong branding. I just thought I didn't know how to get us there. I've never been able to force creativity. I've learned that if I just start working on some piece that I do know then the creative juices start flowing.

Hi. I'm Connie of ConnieandAndrew; technically the "owner" since things are in my name, but we are very much a partnership. I grew up in the South. Andrew grew up in the North. In the 90's we both went to design schools and worked as graphic designers. We spent a couple of decades traveling down various roads. We met in our early 40s on a dating site. Go figure! We both have been back to school and work in the medical world. I'm an RN. Andrew is a COTA, working towards his Occupational Therapy degree. Our home is filled with children, laughter, and tears.

We opened our shop in 2010 from our Love of Creativity. It's been a sleeping dragon. One day when Andrew, the tech support of the operation among many other things, was too busy to help me find where the heck to change the "about" section on our Etsy site I started searching. I was frustrated and impatient, and I stuck with it. I read some of Etsy's amazingly supportive articles and visited some of my favorite shops and by the end of the day our shop had a true personality and flavor of who we are. And I realized that's branding!

Our big picture goal is to reach Enlightenment while holding the hands of other Enlightened Spirits. Sounds simple enough :) We're edgy, funny, and real. The edgy wakes us up. The funny keeps us from running away. And the real seeps its way inside.
